Therapy Approaches
Our clinic leverages various psychotherapy modalities to provide personalized and effective care suited to support your therapeutic goals.
Our therapist clinicians have a core foundation in using attachment-based and integrative therapy models of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) by Sue Johnson and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) by Diana Fosha.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) are other types of therapy models that may be leveraged as appropriate. Guided by the unique needs and goals of each patient, this wide range of techniques ensures that we find the best treatment plan for every person.
Virtual Mental Health Support Community Groups

Why should I consider counselling?
Most of the time, we can cope with the problems and stresses that we encounter every day. But sometimes they pile up and overwhelm us. A family crisis, unexpected illness, accident, the loss of a significant person, communication problems, relationship difficulties, transitions through different stages of life, chemical dependency, depression, anxiety, or low self-esteem – professional guidance can help with any of these.
If you have finally made the decision to consider getting help for personal and relationship growth, this is a significant and courageous step for you. Participating in counselling does not mean that a person is abnormal or has mental illness. Rather, it means that you want to grow, adapt, learn how to cope, take responsibility for your own health, and reach your full potential in life and relationships.
Our Counselling Team
We have a very professional and experienced counselling team to support you.
You do not need a referral from a family doctor to book sessions with our therapists or family physicians. Please note that a referral from a family doctor will allow for virtual consultations with our physician therapists and those without a referral will need to be assessed in-person.
Wait times: usually within 8-12 months.
Many workplaces in Canada have increased the amount of extended health benefit coverage since the COVID pandemic. We encourage you to check your benefits policy; you can receive reimbursement for part or all of the fee, depending on the type of coverage you have. Out-of-pocket payment and supporting individuals residing in a Canadian province (i.e. British Columbia) or Country (i.e. Hong Kong) where there are no restrictions in the jurisdiction of the province or country on the therapist’s ability to provide services to you is available on a case-by-case basis.
Counselling with our Registered Psychotherapists or Social Workers do not require referrals from family doctors.
Meanwhile, Your physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual health is well worth this investment!
